The EUI and Kohli Foundation have partnered up to promote and implement collaborative initiatives and activities in regard to sociological knowledge and to the discipline of sociology and related research.
The agreement was signed on 24 April 2023 at the EUI’s Badia Fiesolana, where EUI President, Professor Renaud Dehousse, welcomed Professor Martin Kohli.
From now on, the Kohli Foundation will fund one new Kohli Fellowship at the EUI every second year, within the context of the EUI’s Max Weber Fellowship Programme. The first Fellow will begin in September 2023.
The cooperation will further focus on the organization of joint events, including the award ceremony of two Science Prizes sponsored by the Kohli Foundation for Sociology, namely the Kohli Prize for Sociology and the Infrastructure Prize for Sociology, which will be held at the EUI every second year. The first award ceremony will take place in November 2023.
